This Pipedrive review is for small business owners asking a simple question: will Pipedrive help my team stop losing deals, and what will it really cost? For a small team that sells through quotes, follow-ups and calls, Pipedrive is one of the easier CRMs to adopt, and the Growth plan is where most small businesses should start. The catch is that prices are per seat, several useful extras are paid add-ons, and the cheapest plan leaves out email sync.

Below we explain what Pipedrive does in plain terms, what each plan includes as of November 2026, how to avoid paying for features you will not use, the limits to know about, and a 14-day trial plan you can run with your own deals before entering card details.

How we reviewed: based on Pipedrive's official pricing page, plan descriptions and pricing FAQ, checked November 7, 2026 (prices shown in US dollars). We have not run a paid account test. Prices can differ by country and change over time, so confirm them on Pipedrive's pricing page.

Pipedrive review: the short answer

Pipedrive is a CRM (customer relationship management) tool built around one screen: a pipeline of columns such as “New lead”, “Quote sent”, “Negotiation” and “Won”, with each deal as a card you drag from left to right. Everything else, including emails, reminders, notes and reports, hangs off those deal cards. That visual layout is why owners who have never used a CRM tend to pick it up quickly.

  • Good fit: service businesses, agencies, B2B suppliers, installers, consultants and small sales teams of 1–20 people who sell through a repeatable series of steps.
  • Weak fit: shops that sell mostly online checkout, businesses that need a free CRM, and teams that want email marketing, help desk and CRM all in one subscription.

Is Pipedrive a good CRM? For deal-based selling, yes. It is not trying to be an all-in-one marketing suite, and that focus is the reason it is easy to use.

What Pipedrive does day to day

Pipeline and reminders

Every plan includes lead, calendar and pipeline management. You see each deal’s stage, value and next activity, and Pipedrive nudges you when a deal has no next step. For an owner, that alone often recovers deals that used to go quiet after a quote.

Email sync and automations (Growth and up)

From Growth, Pipedrive fully syncs Gmail, Outlook or your company email, tracks opens and link clicks, sends bulk emails, and runs automations and sequences of follow-up emails. This is the plan where the CRM starts doing work for you instead of just storing information.

Lead capture and documents (Premium)

Premium adds LeadBooster for capturing and routing inbound and outbound leads, custom lead scoring, company data enrichment, shared team inboxes with AI email tools, and quotes, proposals and contracts with built-in e-signatures.

Security and extras (Ultimate)

Ultimate adds account security rules and alerts, IP- and time-based access restrictions, phone and email data enrichment, a sandbox account for testing, extended phone support (Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 11:00 pm CET/CEST), and partner discounts of 20% on PandaDoc and CloudTalk and 15% on Surfe.

AI and meeting help

All plans list AI-powered report creation from text prompts and meeting intelligence through Pipedrive Nova, which the pricing page describes as giving you a brief before each meeting, a transcript of calls and suggested CRM updates afterward. Treat AI summaries as drafts to check, not final records.

Integrations

Pipedrive says it integrates with 500+ apps, including Zapier, Zoom and lemlist, and lets you import data from a spreadsheet or another CRM.

Pipedrive pricing in November 2026

Prices from Pipedrive’s pricing page in US dollars, per seat (user) per month, as of November 2026. Prices exclude VAT; EU customers are charged VAT unless they provide a valid VAT number.

Plan Billed annually Billed monthly Main additions
Lite $14 per seat/month (one payment of $168 per seat/year) $19 per seat/month Pipeline, calendar, AI reports, 500+ integrations, meeting intelligence
Growth $24 per seat/month ($288 per seat/year) $34 per seat/month Full email sync and tracking, automations, sequences, forecasts, meeting scheduler
Premium $49 per seat/month ($588 per seat/year) $64 per seat/month LeadBooster, lead scoring, shared inboxes, contracts and e-signatures, permissions
Ultimate $69 per seat/month ($828 per seat/year) $89 per seat/month Security rules, data enrichment, sandbox, extended phone support

Annual billing is advertised as saving up to 26%. There is a free 14-day trial with no credit card required.

Add-ons

Some features are sold separately. The pricing page lists these “starting from” prices: LeadBooster $32.50, Projects $16, Campaigns (email marketing) $13.33, Web Visitors $41 and Smart Docs $32.50. The page does not spell out every add-on’s billing terms on the summary, so open each add-on’s page before budgeting.

What a small team might pay

  • Owner plus two salespeople on Growth, billed annually: 3 × $24 = $72 per month, paid as 3 × $288 = $864 for the year.
  • Same team on Growth, billed monthly: 3 × $34 = $102 per month, with the freedom to cancel.
  • Five people on Premium, billed annually: 5 × $49 = $245 per month, or $2,940 for the year.

How to avoid overpaying

  • Skip Lite if you live in your inbox. Lite does not include full email sync. If emails are where deals happen, Growth is the realistic minimum.
  • Don’t jump to Premium for one feature. If the only thing you want from Premium is lead capture, compare the plan upgrade for every seat against the LeadBooster add-on price.
  • Seat only the people who sell. A bookkeeper who checks totals once a month may not need a seat; reports can be shared.
  • Pay monthly for the first two months. Move to annual once the team actually uses the CRM every day.

Is Pipedrive free?

No. Pipedrive does not list a free plan. It offers a free 14-day trial without a credit card, and the FAQ says you can invite as many co-workers as you want to the trial. That is enough time to load real deals and see whether the team will use it. If you need a CRM that stays free, look at tools that advertise a permanent free tier and compare their limits on their own pricing pages.

Pipedrive for small business: who should use it

Use it if your sales follow a predictable path. A kitchen fitter goes from enquiry to site visit to quote to deposit. A web agency goes from discovery call to proposal to signed contract. A wholesaler goes from sample request to trial order to repeat order. Pipedrive turns that path into columns and shows where deals are stuck.

Think twice if most of your revenue comes from people buying on your website without talking to you. A CRM built around deals will feel like extra admin. An email marketing tool or your store platform’s customer list may serve you better. Our Brevo review covers that kind of setup.

Pipedrive vs HubSpot is the comparison owners ask about most. Pipedrive is focused on the sales pipeline with paid plans from $14 per seat per month on annual billing; HubSpot is a broader platform spanning marketing, sales and service. If you mainly need deal tracking and follow-ups, Pipedrive’s focus is an advantage. If you want marketing automation, help desk and CRM from one vendor, compare HubSpot’s current plans on its own pricing page before deciding.

Limits and risks to know

  • Per-seat pricing grows with the team. Each new salesperson adds a full seat. Budget for the team you will have in a year, not just today.
  • Useful features sit behind upgrades or add-ons. Email sync starts on Growth, e-signatures on Premium, and lead capture or website visitor tracking can mean an add-on.
  • A CRM only works if people update it. If deals are not logged, reports are wrong. Decide on three rules: every enquiry becomes a deal, every deal has a next activity, closed deals are marked won or lost the same day.
  • Customer data is your responsibility. Importing contacts and syncing email means personal data sits in another system. Check who on the team can see what (permissions get more flexible on Premium) and keep your privacy notice up to date.
  • Prices vary by region. We saw US dollar prices. Pipedrive may show different currency and pricing in your country.

A 14-day Pipedrive trial plan

  1. Day 1: draw your pipeline on paper. Four to six stages that match how you actually sell. Do not copy someone else’s template.
  2. Day 2: import real deals. Bring in the 20–50 open deals from your spreadsheet or notebook. Add value and next step to each.
  3. Day 3: connect email. The trial lets you see Growth-level email sync. Check that replies attach to the right deal.
  4. Day 4: invite the team. Everyone who sells, plus anyone who needs to see the numbers. Agree the three logging rules above.
  5. Day 5–6: set two automations. For example, create a follow-up task when a deal enters “Quote sent”, and send a thank-you email when a deal is marked won.
  6. Day 7–12: run the business in it. No side spreadsheet. Note what feels slow.
  7. Day 13: check the report. How many deals are stuck? Which stage loses the most? If you learned something you did not know, the CRM is earning its keep.
  8. Day 14: choose the plan. Pick the lowest plan that covers what you actually used, start monthly, and set a reminder to review in 60 days.

Final verdict

Pipedrive is a good CRM for small businesses that sell through quotes, calls and follow-ups and want something the team will actually use. Start with the 14-day trial, expect to land on Growth ($24 per seat per month billed annually, $34 monthly) if email is central to your sales, and only move to Premium when you need lead capture, e-signatures or tighter permissions for several people. If you need a free CRM or an all-in-one marketing suite, look elsewhere.

Verdict

Pipedrive is an easy-to-adopt pipeline CRM with per-seat plans from $14 per month on annual billing. Most small teams should trial it and start on Growth for email sync and automations, adding Premium or add-ons only when a clear need appears.

Best for

  • Service businesses and B2B suppliers selling through quotes and follow-ups
  • Small sales teams of roughly 1-20 people new to CRMs
  • Owners who want a visual pipeline the team will keep updated

Look elsewhere if

  • Businesses that need a permanently free CRM
  • Online shops where most sales happen at checkout
  • Teams wanting marketing, help desk and CRM in one subscription
